Let’s face it.  Most of my couples and their guests do not live in the country on a farm.  The charm of the animals, whimsical landscape and vintage buildings draw them to create their dream day.  Something Blue Berry Farm and The Old Grove are in the heart of Southwest Michigan that is home to amazing beaches, wineries, parks, trails, antique shops, breweries, farm stands, and more.  Consider sharing information on some local sights and activities your guests could take in while they are in the area for your wedding.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When dressing for a barn venue wedding, it\u2019s important to strike a balance between looking polished and elegant while also being comfortable and practical for the rustic environment.\u00a0 Here are some tips:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Consider the season: If the wedding is taking place in the summer, a light and breezy dress made from natural fabric like cotton or linen would be perfect.\u00a0 For cooler temps, consider layering with a cardigan or jacket.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Choose appropriate footwear: High heels may not be the best choice as they sink into the ground, and it is difficult to walk.\u00a0 Instead, opt for comfortable flats or wedges that will be easier to maneuver.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. A barn wedding is typically a more relaxed affair so opt for a dressy-casual outfit that reflects the laid-back vibe of the venue.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Consider hiring transportation for your guests to and from the venue.\u00a0 Cars can be left overnight if anyone has had a little too much fun.\u00a0 Pick up at 10 am next day Country roads are a favorite place for deer to hang out.\u00a0 Drive safely and allow plenty of time\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Let your guests know to arrive early if using our wooded site\u00a0 Southwest Michigan is beautiful, and your guests will not be disappointed to spend a mini vacay here.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
